Hialeah Gardens in numbers
Hialeah Gardens, a 3.2-square-mile city next to Hialeah, has about 22,800 residents (2025 Census Bureau estimate). Other U.S. Census Bureau figures:
- 96.4% of residents are Hispanic or Latino, 72.0% were born in another country, and 94.1% speak a language other than English at home;
- 13.2% of people under 65 have no health insurance, and 13.5% of residents live below the poverty line;
- median household income: $65,439 (2020–2024 survey, 2024 dollars), with 2.99 people per household;

How the 2027 rules play out here
- Status now decides savings. From January 1, 2027, savings continue only for citizens, U.S. nationals, green card holders, COFA migrants and Cuban and Haitian entrants, a group that generally includes Cubans and Haitians who entered on parole or have an asylum case pending, without a final removal order. People with TPS and most other parolees lose savings but can still enroll at full price. With seven in ten residents born abroad, many families here should update their documents early: an unverified status could mean a renewal without savings. Who keeps savings.
- The 400% line splits the median. The city's median household income, $65,439, is just above the 2027 limit for one person ($63,840) yet far below the limit for three ($109,280). So count your tax household carefully and estimate your income realistically: any excess credit must be repaid in full at tax time. Check your numbers.
- Turning 65? Nearly one in five residents is 65 or older. Medicare sign-up opens 3 months before you turn 65; a Marketplace plan won't end on its own, and its savings generally stop once Part A begins.

Hialeah Gardens questions, answered
Is there an Arte office in Hialeah Gardens?
No. We're in neighboring Hialeah (460 E 23rd St #209) and meet clients there by appointment only, though nearly every step can happen by phone or online.
We used Arte for 2026. What changes for 2027?
You'll most likely approve us again, since CMS expects most people who renew to re-approve their agent for 2027. Watch for the one-time link, and update your household and 2027 income before December 15.
Can I switch to Arte from another agent?
Yes. Approving us through the one-time link replaces your previous agent, since an application can have only one. A switch may first require an identity check through Experian or another CMS-approved service.
What should I bring to an appointment?
Your phone, for the approval link; Social Security numbers and, for non-citizens, immigration documents; recent pay stubs or your latest tax return; and your insurance card and coverage letters.
Do you charge for this help?
No. Insurers pay agents a commission, and a given plan costs the same whether you enroll with us, with someone else or on your own.
